What we're hiring for.
No open roles right now.
We hire slowly and keep the team small on purpose. When we open a role it will appear here. Use the form below to introduce yourself anyway.
What we look for.
- You have strong opinions about product quality and a low tolerance for things that are slightly off
- You understand East African markets — not from a textbook, from experience
- You have shipped things that real people use
- You prefer a small team where your work is visible and your decisions matter
- You care about the problem more than the technology stack
We do not care about where you went to school, what your previous job title was, or how many years of experience you have. We care about what you have built and how you think.
If you have never worked at a "proper" company but you have shipped things people actually use — we want to hear from you.
Most of our team grew up in East Africa or has spent significant time here. Understanding the market is not a bonus — it is the job.
What we believe in.
We are merchants first
We build tools we would use ourselves. Every feature starts with a real problem a real business owner told us about.
East Africa is the product
M-Pesa is not an integration. Swahili is not a translation. They are core. The product only makes sense if it is built by people who understand the market.
Taste matters
We care about the quality of every pixel, every error message, every edge case. We hire people who notice when something is slightly off — and fix it.
We move fast
A small team building the operating system for a continent. There is no room for slow. We ship, we learn, we iterate.
Tell us what you'd build.
No open role? Apply anyway. Tell us who you are and what you would want to work on. We read everything and respond to everyone who sends a thoughtful message.
